Industrial-grade ABS optimized for 3D printing
Spectrum ABS GP450™ is an industrial filament for 3D printing. It is a plastic with an amorphous structure, which owes its popularity to its high impact strength, hardness, and relatively high scratch resistance. The composition of the material, compared to classic ABS, has been optimized for incremental manufacturing purposes, allowing the user to print at high speeds (up to 200 mm/s) without losing mechanical properties. Another very important aspect is the easy removal of support structures. In addition, the adhesion of the first layer to the 3D printer's build platform has been improved. Thanks to this adjustment, the cracking of prints and their warping at the base have been reduced.
The Spectrum ABS GP450™ filament is particularly useful in the production of components where good strength, high print surface quality, and the possibility of post-processing cavities are required. Good mechanical properties, especially the high deformability of the material and its high impact strength, will allow the production of parts transmitting both static and dynamic loads in various structures. The excellent insulating properties of Spectrum ABS GP450™ material allow for the printing of parts that protect against electric current, while the relatively high hardness enables the printing of tools and equipment used in assembly or mass production.
Spectrum ABS GP450™ exhibits significantly higher mechanical strength than other similar materials of this type available on the market.
