High transparency and chemical resistance
Alongside PLA, Spectrum PET-G Premium filament is one of the most popular materials for 3D printing.
A very important advantage of PETG is its virtually zero shrinkage factor and low moisture absorption compared to other thermoplastics used in FDM/FFF 3D printing. Parts printed from PET-G maintain stable properties over the long term. The premium Spectrum PET-G filament combines the most desirable properties of PLA and ABS.Among other properties of the Spectrum PETG material is good resistance to creep under constant load.
This is possible due to the bonding between the layers of the applied material. This results in significantly lower anisotropy of the mechanical properties of the produced parts and means that the mechanical properties differ less in individual manufacturing directions compared to other thermoplastics for 3D printing. The mechanical properties combined with the chemical resistance of the Spectrum PET-G Premium material make it suitable for the production of components with relatively high dimensional accuracy and both shape and mechanical stability. These include gears and plain bearings exposed to static loads in a water environment. In addition, Spectrum PET-G Premium is used to produce parts in the form of semi-transparent enclosures and illuminated components of various types of boards and signs.
