Product description
Ability to Change Color
Spectrum PLA Thermoactive is a filament made from pure PLA with the addition of a thermochromic pigment. This highly original ingredient causes the gradually produced parts to change color when exposed to a certain temperature.
In the case of Spectrum PLA Thermoactive, it involves a color change from red to cream when the surface temperature of the part exceeds 30 °C. Once the element reaches its original temperature, the color gradually returns to its previous hue.
Material Properties
- ability to change color at 30 °C
- No shrinkage
- very good adhesion between layers
- high stiffness of components
Applications
- applications where it is important to visually determine the state of the device based on organoleptically measurable phenomena (in this case, phenomena visible to the naked eye)).
- educational projects
- production of temperature sensors, battery consumption indicators, components for fuse testing, coatings for hot beverage cups, coatings for kettles and thermostats
- for other electronic devices
