Product description

Matte print surface

Spectrum PLA Matt is a PLA-based material whose chemical composition has been modified to enable a matte print surface.

The matte finish of manufactured parts significantly enhances their aesthetics and also minimizes the visibility of layers on the side surfaces of the manufactured parts.

The additional use of dopants led to an increase in temperature resistance, impact strength, and a reduction in the brittleness of the manufactured parts.

The modification of Spectrum PLA Matt also included UV stabilization.

The properties of this filament are geared towards the use of Spectrum PLA Matt in applications associated with the presentation of significant aesthetic qualities, i.e. in the production of prototypes in industrial design for concept visualization and presentation of design variants of given structures. In addition, there are applications related to interior decoration as well as the production of architectural models.

Material Properties

  • made from biodegradable raw materials
  • higher temperature resistance (VICAT – 85 °C) compared to standard PLA (VICAT – 55 °C)
  • high-quality matte side surface with barely visible layers
  • increased adhesion between layers and between the device's work platform and manufactured parts
  • better strength properties in terms of impact toughness, flexibility, and durability compared to parts made from classic PLA
  • high stiffness of components
  • no shrinkage after cooling
  • UV stabilizer

Applications

  • interior design and decoration
  • architectural models
  • educational projects
  • prototyping industrial designs for concept visualization
